Focus 2017

We are in an extraordinary time in our nation’s history. A time that requires everyone - elected officials, citizens, and corporations - get involved and have their voices heard.  Businesses across the country are taking a stand to protest the unlawful, xenophobic and hateful policies put forth by the Trump administration. Idlewild is joining that protest and is choosing to speak out.

At Idlewild Partners we are proud to respect and promote inclusiveness, diversity, and human rights for all people. We feel that it is our corporate responsibility to respond to the nation’s call to action and put our resources to work to help protect our nation’s most vulnerable people.

The Trump administration is on the wrong side of countless issues - from the environment, to health care, to women’s rights, to the ongoing attack on the media - the list goes on.  We have decided that the area of work for our 2017 grant cycle will be the issue of immigration and the rights of refugees, documented and undocumented individuals. Immigrants have been instrumental in shaping our country, and we are stronger because of it.

Nonprofits that apply should provide DIRECT SERVICES in the following areas:

  • Legal Services to represent immigrants and their families
  • Refugee support
  • Promotion of inclusive immigration policies
